Needs Analysis (NA) | Aims & Objectives

  To provide the participants with an evaluation of their strengths and developmental needs so that they can

  • assess their own suitability for the role of a principal, and
  • design an appropriate personal professional learning plan towards higher leadership competence.

  After completing NA, the participants are expected to:

  • take account of feedback that indicates their current strengths and weaknesses in relation to school leadership in the local context.
  • develop a greater personal awareness of their leadership in various aspects.
  • reflect critically on their motivations and desires to become a principal.
  • identify what they need to accomplish in preparation for principalship.
  • decide on a meaningful and pragmatic professional learning pathway that leads from their current position to becoming a better school leader.
