School-based adapted music curriculum and professional development programs for special schools for children with intellectual disabilities

summary

Dr Wong and her project
team provided professional advice for Mary Rose School, Haven of Hope Sunnyside
School, and Caritas Jockey Club Lok Yan School to develop a school-based music
curriculum. The project aimed to enhance the participants’ professional and
pedagogical content knowledge and the design of school-based adapted music
curriculum to facilitate students with intellectual disabilities to develop
their music learning outcomes through school-based adapted music curriculum.

Deliverables of the project
include school-based adapted music curricula (2 for children with severe
intellectual disabilities, 1 for children with moderate intellectual
disabilities and 1 for children with mild intellectual disabilities),
professional development workshops and seminars for music teachers of all
special schools for children with intellectual disabilities, and exemplars of
adapted music curricula.

智障兒童學校的校本音樂科調適課程及教師專業發展培訓

進行時期:本計劃將於2018111日至2022131日推行。

計劃負責人:王偉儀博士  

伙伴協作學校:靈實恩光學校、明愛賽馬會樂仁學校和天保民學校。

目標:

1. 根據為智障學生而設的音樂課程框架,為三所特殊學校的智障學生(輕度、中度及嚴重)發展涵蓋四個學習階段(小一至中六)的校本音樂課程;

2. 舉辦音樂教師工作坊,內容有助教師發展為智障學生而調適的音樂科學與教策略;

3. 舉辦座談會,分享三所參與學校發展校本課程的經驗。

 產品

1. 為智障學生而設涵蓋四個學習階段的四個校本音樂課程 (2個嚴重,1個中度及1個輕度)

2. 為全港特殊學校音樂科老師舉辦三個工作坊(每年舉辦18小時工作坊;三年共舉辦54小時工作坊)和三個座談會(每年舉辦3小時座談會;三年共舉辦9小時座談會);

3. 校本音樂科課程示例集 (包括:發展校本課程設計的原則及注意事項及各學習階段的教學計劃)

成果:提升參與學校音樂科教師圑隊發展校本課程的能力;提升教師在教學上應用學科知識及改善校本音樂科調適課程設計;為特殊學校的音樂科樹立校本課程的模範。
