Project summary
Dr Wong and her project team will provide professional advice for Mary Rose School, Haven of Hope Sunnyside School and Caritas Jockey Club Lok Yan School to develop school-based music curriculum. The aims of the project are to enhance the professional and pedagogical content knowledge of the participants as well as the design of school-based adapted music curriculum so as to facilitate students with intellectual disabilities to develop their music learning outcomes through school-based adapted music curriculum.
Deliverables of the project will include school-based adapted music curricula (2 for children with severe intellectual disabilities, 1 for children with moderate intellectual disabilities and 1 for children with mild intellectual disabilities), professional development workshops and seminars for music teachers of all special schools for children with intellectual disabilities, and exemplars of adapted music curricula.
