Leadership Enhancement Programme for Local School Vice-Principals organized by EDUC  (Programme Commencement 27 Feb 2017)

16 vice-principals from primary and secondary schools took part in Programme for Leadership Enhancement for serving Vice-Principals 2017 (LE) organized by The Department of Education Studies. The commencement of the programme was held on 27 February 2017. There are 8 business organizations and Non-Government Organizations (NGO) offering attachment for the 16 vice-principals. Participants in this programme can benefit from interviewing the CEO, frontline management of specific divisions and adopting leadership theories in particular business organization or NGO through the attachment. They can have a better understanding of their own leadership potential, enhancing leadership knowledge and skills then transferring to the school setting with adaptions.

At the commencement, Ms Li Shuk Yee Cora, Chief Professional Development Officer (School Leadership and Professional Development) of EDB and Mr. Mawin Cheung, CEO of Easy Organic Farming Ltd were present to deliver welcoming and encouraging remarks respectively to the participants.

Ms Cora Li stressed the uniqueness of this programme for the local school leaders to learn from the elites outside the education sector.  Mr. Mawin Cheung demonstrated to the vice-principals about enhancing leadership and management practice in an award winning NGO.
